Mont-Tremblant, a training destination
In partnership with the Ministère des Transports, de la Mobilité durable et de l’Électrification des transports, the community of Mont-Tremblant has contributed to the creation of the world’s first IRONMAN training course. This 90 km route, now standardized, is governed by the Ministry’s signage rules, marked every 2 km and maintained by regular seasonal sweeping.
In summer, the IRONMAN Mont-Tremblant Training Centre, located on the Place du Lac Tremblant, offers maps of the three IRONMAN Mont-Tremblant marked swim courses, relevant information such as water temperature and a number of other services free of charge to athletes registered for Mont-Tremblant events.
Since 2015, Mont-Tremblant has also benefited from a new aquatic complex. The design and construction of this major project were made possible by a $500,000 bequest from the IRONMAN Foundation and government subsidies.
