What are the World Triathlon Age Group Championships?
The World Triathlon Age Group Championships bring together the world’s best duathletes and triathletes of all ages. They take place every year over various distances. Qualified athletes represent their country and compete in various disciplines against athletes in their age group.
You too can compete in the world championships, but first you must qualify in one of the qualifying events recognized by Triathlon Canada.
Qualifying events in Quebec
The Canadian championships offer qualifying places for the following year’s world championships. To qualify, you must be a member of the provincial federation prior to participation in the event.
Sprint triathlon
Sprint triathlon (no sprinting)
- Joliette Triathlon – June 1, 2025 (1 place per age group/per gender*)
- Duchesnay Triathlon – August 2, 2025 (1 place per age group/per gender*)
- Valleyfield Triathlon – August 17, 2025 (1 place per age group/per gender)
