Unfortunately, triathlon is not part of the 2025 program. However, it will be back at the 2029 Games.
Number of triathletes to be selected for the Quebec Team: 3 boys and 3 girls
Competition category: juniors and U20
Entries :
- Individual sprint triathlon
- Men’s (3×) and women’s (3×) team relays
- Mixed team relay (4×)
Athlete selection
The following information will be confirmed before the 2029 Games.
Based on the quotas allocated to each province by the Canada Games Council (CGC) Sports Committee, three men and three women will be selected to form the Quebec triathlon team for this competition. The coaching staff will consist of a manager and a coach. Up to two substitutes per gender will be appointed and ranked in order of priority. They will be invited to take part in preparatory activities and may replace a given athlete in the event of injury, illness or withdrawal until the delegation’s departure.
The objective of the selection policy is to choose athletes capable of winning medals in each of the program’s events, and to enable Quebec to finish the competition as the top-ranked province in the discipline. In addition to results, the preparation, selection process and experience of this major multisport competition are formative elements that contribute to the long-term development of the athlete and coach.
