What is aquavélo?

In recent years, aqua-biking has gained in popularity. This discipline combines swimming and cycling, without any running. When the athlete exits the second transition, he or she heads straight for the finish line.

History

Aquavélo first appeared in Italy in the 1990s. It’s a discipline invented by kinesiologists who wanted to create an activity with the aim of generating significant energy expenditure. Aquavélo offers a number of improvements over conventional cycling.
