Summer job offer – Events coordinator (4 positions available – Montreal)
Job type: Full-time, Internship, Fly-In / Fly-Out
Salary: $17/hour, 25 to 30 hours/week
Start and end dates: June 1 to August 29, 2022 (possible extension in September)

Triathlon Québec is looking for Associate Event Coordinators!
Reporting to the Events Coordinator, you will facilitate the planning and on-site execution of partner event race calendar activities. You will work closely with internal customers and external suppliers to ensure a safe experience for participants. You will carry out a wide range of events across Quebec.
Main tasks :
- Logistical support for the school triathlon program (May-June) :
- Manage equipment and vehicle logistics;
- Represent the federation at school events;
- Assist the organizer in coordinating and running the event;
- Write a technical report after each event.
- Communicating the school triathlon program
- Support for regular events during the summer season (July-August):
- Manage equipment and vehicle logistics;
- Setting up and dismantling competition sites;
- Act as an official at competitions (training will be provided);
- Customer service at the Triathlon Québec promotional tent.
- Ensure live communication at events (social network management, video recording, etc.).
Requirements:
- Willingness to work long hours on weekends;
- A valid driver’s license;
- Enjoy working in the field and be in good physical shape;
- A keen interest in sporting events,
- Enjoy working with the public, especially children;
- Resourceful, responsible, organized, dynamic;
- Good written and spoken French;
- Knowledge of triathlon an asset;
- Experience driving a cube truck an asset;
- Studies in leisure intervention or any other field related to sports, health and recreation would be an asset.
