The Memphrémagog Triathlon Club, is looking for a coach for the 2022- 2023 season to supervise triathlon training as well as camps and competitions. The Memphrémagog Triathlon Club is in its 27th year of existence.
More than 200 members take part in training for swimming, cycling, running, swimming competitions and triathlons. We offer training services for both amateur and competitive athletes. The triathlon club is responsible for training provincial, national and international athletes, as well as amateur athletes who have adopted an active lifestyle.
We’re looking for a dynamic, organized and versatile individual. The coach will be responsible, among other things, for triathlon training for 11-year-olds and under, and for the triathlon sport-study program at La Ruche high school.
Job summary
In collaboration with the Memphrémagog Triathlon Club head coach, the coach must :
- Plan, organize and supervise triathlon club training and sport-study triathlon training at La Ruche high school.
- Develop an annual training plan for sport-study triathlon.
- Accompany athletes to various camps and competitions.
- Supervise athletes during events.
- Evaluate the development of sport-study triathlon athletes.
- Help organize our “Trimemphré” fundraising event.
- All other related duties of a triathlon coach.
Qualification requirements
- Relevant work experience as a triathlon coach.
- Level 1 of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) in triathlon or swimming or equivalent experience (level 2 would be an asset).
- Current National Lifeguard and First Aid certification.
- Have completed a criminal record check within the last year.
- Completion of the NCCP “Respect and Sport” module.
- Good knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Good knowledge of FNQ and Swimming Canada software (an asset).
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written French.
- A valid driver’s license.

- Teamwork: actively participate in teamwork and collaborate on a daily basis with the head coach, board members and race director.
- Organizational skills, autonomy, initiative and good customer service.
- Positive and constructive attitude: Work with athletes and other coaches in a positive atmosphere.
- Punctuality: Meet deadlines and work schedules.
Salary
- Annual contract with possibility of renewal.
- Salary according to experience. Our salary offer is very competitive.
- Initial contract term of 2 years, renewable.
- Start date – September 2022.
