The 1-2-TRI GO!
What is the 1-2-TRI GO! program?
The 1-2-TRI GO! program is a youth development initiative offered by Triathlon Québec.
The aim is to introduce young people to the sport of triathlon and the pleasures of participating in all three sports as part of a club. The program aims to help young people improve their swimming, cycling, running and transition skills, while adopting a healthy, active lifestyle for the long term.
Would you like to promote youth triathlon in your club? The 1-2-TRI GO! program presents a repertoire of skills classified into seven levels to help coaches track each youngster’s progress. The program also comes with a kit including passports and awards for athletes, guides, worksheets and follow-up sheets for coaches. A turnkey formula for you!
The program has several objectives. Here are the main ones:
- Improve basic skills in each of the triathlon disciplines for young triathletes
- Promote the adoption of a long-term healthy and active lifestyle among young triathletes
- Standardize the essential skills to be acquired by young triathletes, to optimize their long-term development
- Offer a progress tracking tool for young triathletes and practitioners
