Youth and Junior Quebec Cup
What is the Quebec Cup?

The Quebec Cup is the most prestigious youth and adult age-group series in Quebec. It enables athletes and Triathlon Québec member clubs to accumulate points in a network of high-quality competitions.
The series is open to triathletes aged 12 and over (categories U13, U15, juniors and adults in age groups of 16+) and duathletes aged 16 and over in all levels. Would you like to take part in the series, but are not a member of the Federation? Join now and get started!
The Coupe Québec Jeunesse (CQJ) includes the U13 (12-13 years) and U15 (14-15 years) categories. Athletes must complete a certain number of events to be eligible for the final ranking. All stages are generally cross-country and may include special events with different formats, which may be worth different scores.
The Junior Quebec Cup (JQC) is for athletes aged 16 to 19 on their way to the Grand Prix series. Athletes must complete a certain number of stages to be eligible for the final ranking. All stages are generally cross-country and may include special events with different formats, which may be worth different scores.
Eligibility
Ranking is reserved for Triathlon Québec annual members only. Non-members participating in events are eligible for trophies and medals on the day of the event, but are not eligible for scoring or ranking in the series.
Score 2025
There are two levels of events in the Coupe Québec series, for both youth and adult age groups. Each level earns a different number of points. There are two distinct classifications: one for all categories and one by age group. The top 20 positions decrement by 7.5% in the same way as World Triathlon. Thereafter, positions decrement by 2.5% until the last member has crossed the finish line.
For the Coupe Québec Jeunesse (CQJ), all events have the same value (CQ-1000), with the exception of the Quebec Championship (CQ-1200).
CQ-1000
1,000 points are awarded for first place. The top 20 positions are decremented by 7.5%. Thereafter, positions decrement by 2.5% until the last member has crossed the finish line. All the usual stages in the series have this score.
CQ-1200
1,200 points are awarded to first place. The top 20 positions are decremented by 7.5%. Thereafter, positions decrement by 2.5% until the last member has crossed the finish line. Only Quebec youth and junior championships have this score.
