High School Sport-Study Program

Sport-études programs are designed to support student-athletes in the practice of their sport and in the successful completion of their high school studies. They enable student-athletes to reconcile their academic and sporting goals, provided they give priority to academic success.

Program requirements

The athlete must:

  • be identified by your sports federation;
  • be admitted to the program by your educational institution;
  • expect the pace of learning to be faster than in conventional programs, since less class time is required;
  • commit to a high level of autonomy and seriousness if they want to succeed.

The club must:

  • be recognized by Triathlon Québec ;
  • as sports agent, sign the memorandum of understanding between the school board, the educational institution and the sports federation.

The coach must:

  • be recognized by Triathlon Québec;
    be a certified competitor or be progressing towards one;
  • must submit a typical weekly plan and an annual plan to Triathlon Québec ;
  • complete the student-athlete evaluation grid provided by the federation.

Journal sport-études

Triathlon Québec has designed a diary based on an evaluation grid comprising various technical, tactical and physiological skills, as well as a number of other responsibilities assigned to the athlete. This program targets high school athletes aged 12 to 17, who are in the Learn to Train and Train to Train stages. It also follows on from and complements the 1-2-TRI GO! program for 12-14 year-old athletes.
